Overview
Wall Pal is a climbing-tracking and training app. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
You may use Wall Pal without creating a named account. If you create or link an account, we collect your email address, Firebase user ID, and sign-in provider information. We also store the climbing content you choose to create, including gym spaces, climb logs, hangboard sessions, settings, ratings, and derived analytics. If you choose to add them, this may include photos and location attached to a log. Purchases and subscription entitlement are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat. Advertising providers may process device, advertising, consent, and diagnostic information when ads are shown.
How we use information
We use your information to provide and improve Wall Pal, save and synchronise your data for linked accounts, process and restore premium access, show advertising on the free plan where permitted, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Where data is stored and shared
Local app data is stored on your device. Linked-account backup is processed using Firebase and photos may be processed by Cloudinary. We use RevenueCat for subscription entitlement, Google Mobile Ads/AdMob for advertising and consent, Apple or Google for store purchases, and OpenStreetMap to display map content. These providers process data under their own privacy terms and only as needed to provide their services.
Your choices
Location, camera, and photo-library access are optional and can be changed in your device settings. You can review advertising consent choices from Settings > Privacy options. You can sign out at any time. If you have a linked account, Settings > Delete account permanently deletes the account login and cloud backup, including synced photos. Local data remaining on your device is not automatically erased. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel that subscription through the relevant store.
Retention and security
We retain cloud data while your account remains active or as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit where supported by our service providers, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Wall Pal is not directed to children under the age at which they can lawfully consent to data processing in their country. Do not use the app if you are below that age without the consent required by applicable law.
